Croeso Network, last updated: October 2026
In short: the Croeso network is a family of North Wales tourism and directory websites owned and published by Welcome Group Ltd, with technical services provided by Livetech Ltd. We collect very little personal data directly. Most data processing on these sites relates to cookies set by advertising and analytics partners (such as Google AdSense, Google Analytics and Booking.com), which only run where you have given consent via the cookie banner.

4. Cookies and similar technologies
Sites in the network use a consent management platform to obtain and record your cookie preferences. Depending on the site, this is either CookieYes or Google’s own consent tool, which follows the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. Non-essential cookies are not set until you consent, and you can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the cookie settings link at the bottom of each page (on some sites it is labelled “Privacy and cookie settings”).
Categories of cookies used
- Necessary: required for the site and the consent banner to function.
- Analytics: Google Analytics (via Google Site Kit), used to understand how visitors use the sites.
- Advertising: Google AdSense, which may set cookies to serve personalised or non-personalised ads. Google’s use of advertising cookies is described at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
- Affiliate/partner: some pages carry partner links and banners, including Booking.com. If you click these, the partner may set cookies to attribute any booking you make. We receive a commission on qualifying bookings; this does not affect the price you pay.
- Embedded content: pages may embed content from third parties such as YouTube, Facebook, X (Twitter) and Instagram, and live webcam streams. These providers may set their own cookies when the content loads.
Some pages on network sites carry sponsored listings, features or partner links. Sponsored content is labelled where it appears and does not involve any additional collection of your personal data beyond the cookie categories described above.
5. Who we share data with
- Google LLC: analytics and advertising (AdSense, Analytics, Site Kit).
- Booking.com B.V.: accommodation affiliate partner.
- Livetech Ltd: hosting management, security and website development for the network (data processor).
- Hosting and infrastructure providers: our sites are hosted with UK-based providers.
- CookieYes Ltd: consent management.
Some partners (notably Google) may process data outside the UK/EEA. Where this happens, transfers rely on UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.
6. How long we keep data
- Enquiry form submissions: up to 24 months from last contact, then deleted.
- Directory listing data: for the life of the listing plus 12 months.
- Server logs: up to 12 months.
- Google Analytics data: 14 months.
- Cookie consent records: 12 months (as required to demonstrate consent).
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the personal data we hold about you, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to data portability where applicable. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within one month.
If you have a complaint about how we use your personal data, please email [email protected] first. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, keep you informed while we look into it, and tell you the outcome.
If you are still unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
8. Security
All network sites are served over HTTPS. Access to site administration is restricted, monitored and protected by security tooling, and we review and update our security measures on an ongoing basis.
9. Changes to this policy
This is the master privacy policy for the whole Croeso network and is hosted at croeso.com. Individual sites in the network link here from their footers. We may update this policy from time to time; the date at the top shows when it was last revised. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
